Remember jet lag?

My day went as follows…
4am sleep
5am sleep
6am sleep
7am sleep
8am sleep
9am sleep
10am LOVELY fire alarm going off in the building causing Alena and I to sleepily wonder to the lobby to
learn it was only a drill ::huge eye roll::
11am sleep
12pm sleep
1pm sleep
2pm sleep
3pm sleep...wake for a moment and check-in with Keith. He says to sleep more
4pm sleep
5pm sleep
6pm sleep...then wake to remember that Keith is arriving home shortly and we are leaving for the New
Years Eve party at 8pm and I should probably do something to become more human again haha

Dressed in our finest sequined party dresses and new Christmas boots, Keith, Alena, Ainesh, Raisil, and
I hoped in our Uber to the Hyatt for the party. We would meet some of Keith’s coworkers and bandmates
for an all you can eat/drink celebration. It wasn’t quite the vibe we were expecting (think family-friendly
cruise, but fancy) with more kids and old people than we had hoped. Still, the weather was perfect, the
seafood and carving stations were plentiful and the wine was flowing. Just before midnight, we realized
there was a band inside and we grabbed our glasses of champagne to cheers to the new year, but we
missed it! We were halfway to the door when the loud cheers erupted and TONS of glittery confetti fell
from the ceiling. We staying inside and danced for a while longer and journeyed home around 2am.
After all the jet lag/excitement we decided to watch a movie when we got home, but it was terrible and
really nothing of note. Bed around 4am...but this time it was happier.
